Located in Hisar (Hesare) town of Gercüş district in Batman province, the visitation area takes its name from the tomb structure called "Sheikh Yakup Tomb". Hisar (Hesare) town is located 32.85 km southeast of Batman centre, 15 km northwest of Gercüş district centre.

In the visit area surrounded by a protection wall, there are tombs and tomb structures placed around it over time. The tomb of Sheikh Yakup, who is thought to be a saint or a mystic among the people, has a square plan. Today, its upper cover has been destroyed and it is understood from the squinches in the southwest corner that it is covered with a dome (Fig. 1). (Fig. 2) The tomb, which is understood to be on the northwest side of the entrance from the remaining traces, has a round-arched mihrab niche on the south wall and a crenellated window to the east of the mihrab.

Inside the tomb; The tomb is surrounded by masonry stones. Cut stone, rubble stone and cas mortar were used in the building, which was largely destroyed (Picture 3). The surroundings of the tomb turned into a cemetery over time. The tombs were generally neglected and exposed to destruction. There are inscriptions written in kufic and nesih calligraphy and Arabic alphabet on the foot and head witnesses of the graves.
