There are cisterns on the western and northern slopes of the castle, which is about 800 m southeast of Yamanlar village. A total of 7 cisterns were observed during the studies carried out in the area. Cisterns have lost their functions today and do not see any use. The cistern 1 is located on the western slope of the castle.

The cisterns are located within the borders of Akarca (Aynmalut) hamlet of Ardıçlı village of Gercüş district of Batman province. The cisterns carved into the bedrock are generally filled with the accumulation of rain water, with narrow mouths, cylindrical bodies and their interiors expanding towards the base. The cisterns, numbered from east to west, have been largely destroyed and lost their functions because they are not used today.
