Mill no. 1 is located on a rocky area 2 km east of Boğaz (Bagase) village, which is located 32 km southeast of Batman centre, 11 km northwest of Gercüş district centre.
It is not known when the mill, which is almost completely at the foundation level, was built, since there is no charter record or inscription. Today, the plan and architectural features of the building, whose only water arch and water tower are still standing, cannot be understood (Picture 1). The preserved length of the waterway is 7.50m and its width is 0.70m in the mill whose grinding area has been completely destroyed (Picture 2). The inner part of the water trough was plastered with concrete mortar in the following periods (Picture 3). It is understood that the mill, in which rubble stone and “cas” mortar was used as construction material, was repaired with non-original materials in the later periods. There is natural and human destruction in the mill.
