About 1.5km east of Hasankeyf, north of the Assyrian Settlement Area, north of the Tigris River, a church and a cemetery at the south were unearthed during the excavations carried out under the direction of Prof. Dr. Abdüsselam ULUÇAM.

The church, which was built on a high land in the north of the village and extends in the east-west direction, has the characteristics of a small chapel consisting of a single nave. The vault cover and most of its walls are in collapsed condition. There are several tombs and a water well around the church. The courtyard walls have been completely removed and its place has been converted into agricultural land.
