BAĞLICA VILLAGE ROCK TOMB NO. 4

The rock tomb no. 4 is located on the high mountain peak, known as Keleha Kasre by the local people, about 600 m north of the village of Bağlıca, which is within the borders of Gercüş district of Batman province. Baglica Village is located 29.26 km south of Batman city center and 20.08 km west of Gercüş district.

The entrance of the rock tomb faces south and has a corridor. There are two steps in the south of the corridor (Picture 1). There are six klines in the rock tomb and the burial chamber has a rectangular plan close to the square. All the klines in the tomb are padded and the clines were built adjacent to each other. Klines are located on the east, west and north walls of the burial chamber. Klines 1 and 2 are located on the east wall of the burial chamber (Picture 2), klines no. 3-4 are on the north wall of the burial chamber (Picture 3), and klines 5-6 are located on the west wall of the burial chamber (Picture 4).
