KUMLUCA (MİRDESE) VILLAGE ROCK AREA SETTLEMENT

Kumluca (Mirdese) Village is connected to the Hasankeyf district of Batman province and is located 14 km west of the Hasankeyf district and 2.50 km southwest of the Sukeken village.
The village was established on a rocky area, and ancient rock dwellings, waterways, cisterns, silos and water collection reservoirs were observed in the area. A small number of ceramic finds were encountered in the area. Presumably, this rocky area settlement must have been inhabited in the Middle Ages.
